This Love is a book of poetry by Katherine Ruth Hofer exploring the topic of love and personal journeys of relocation, coming-of-age, relationships, and the spiritual.

In “This Love” poetry collection, Katherine Ruth Hofer follows love through intimacy, distance, desire, loss and change. The poems move between Budapest and California, from city streets and familiar landmarks to hills, water and the Pacific coast. These places become part of the poems’ emotional terrain, carrying memories of migration, relationships, solitude and belonging. Rather than offering a single definition of love, Hofer stays with its contradictions: what is present and what is absent, what is lost and what remains, and what might emerge from what remains.
