In Narratives of Budapest, we explored the city’s independent cultural and artistic scene, spotlighting its remarkable citizens. With Narratives of Hungary, the concept remains the same: we continue to explore. Now, though, we focus on the entire country, seeking out the voices, places, and traditions that make Hungary so distinctive.

We make this collection a choir of voices that describe Hungary in their own unique way. We hope Narratives of Hungary will inspire readers to hit the road, and discover Hungary—a country that is far richer and more diverse than many imagine.
